Phil Anderson. If you have been around the German skateboarding culture for some time, chances are slim that you have never heard of this guy. Running STUTTPARK, the Stuttgart indoor skatepark hosting lots of projects and events for the culture, for the youth, female skateboarding, the integration of minorities and so much more.. Phil is not only the face of that, but the soul. With a heart of GOLD and love for everybody, Phil has become the driving force behind the annual Hell Battle contest series as well as the moderator for Go Skateboard Day. Bringing joy to the world with his project "alryte".
It is hard to miss this tall guy with the charming smile. Phil is currently also mantling the coat of our acting Team Manager for the Stuttgart shop.
But aside of these functions - Mr. Anderson is a skateboarder with mad tricks and footage. Starring front and center in our ARROW & BEAST shop video projects, multiple times giving us the ender tricks for those. Unfortunately his skateboarding legacy was tarnished by many injuries and surgeries - Phil has never really had a part he could have called his own.
So longtime friend and cinematographer Legend Torsten Frank took it up to release this surprise project that ultimately became the "Phil Anderson - But Now Part". A retrospective on Phil's carrer, from the early beginning to where we are now. Not going to lie - for everybody close to the shop, this strikes a lot of emotional moments.
Our homies Roland Hoogwater & Petros Vlachos at (a) Place Skateboard Culture or like the streets call it "Place Skate Mag" proudly supported this project, with hosting the video and featuring a full interview with our mans.
