"Tour De France" is an experimental photo exhibition by the Japanese photographer Tomonori Tanaka, aka Ripzinger. During his own journey through Europe, Rip was invited to join the Arrow & Beast Crew on our first joint trip, the "Tour De France." Twelve friends, connected by skateboarding, on a quest for friendship, chaos, and freedom. Documented by Ripzinger.
Tomonori Tanaka born in Tokyo Japan is a freelance photographer with a freestyle approach. He was honored by the Hypebeast magazine, has worked for the Crailtap family, Bones and Patagonia to name a few.
On October 13 2011, Rip presented a special exhibition, showcasing his photography during the trip, by plastering the formerly pink skate shop walls with hundreds of black and white printed out copies to them. Rendering ARROW & BEAST in a monochrome aesthetic. Lots of friends and family were invited to come around, have a few drinks and talk about art, the culture and whatever came up. Skateboarding culture lives and breathes through the interactions of the individuals. We are happy Ripzinger was a part of our journey.
